About Me

My name is Sheriden Goldie.

I'm a writer of SFF fiction (Science fiction and fantasy).

I'm Based in Sydney, Australia.

I began this page mainly to promise myself that I am serious about being a working writer. Getting published would be nice, but really, I want to work on the craft and get better at creating stories. Sharing that experience is something I look for, so I figure it may be helpful for others.

I'll be writing about writing, my work, things I'm reading, playing, and watching. I'll also share interesting things I'm into, like making zines, sewing, places I go, and things I experience.

I'll also share some of my work where possible. Or at least tell you about where you can find it (once it's out there).

I don't believe there are any secrets to writing, but there may be a long process of experimentation to find what works for you.

I do believe that working on something you find fulfilling is always worthwhile, no matter the material outcome.

Living a creative life isn't always easy, but living an easy life isn't always fulfilling either.

When I'm not writing, I hold down a corporate job that will remain nameless. It is necessary to pay the bills, and it does give me a sense of satisfaction. Of course I would like to give it up one day for being a full time writer/creative/something - but I don't really know if I could manage the stress.
